Kalua Pig

Easy 3-ingredient smoky pulled pork!

Hawaii is one of my most favorite places on earth. If you have ever been to a Hawaiian luau, you have probably had Kalua pig. A whole pig is smoked for many hours in a sand pit with sea salt, banana leaves and koa wood. Now you can make the same delicious tender pork without digging the pit!

You won’t believe how easy this is to make with just 3 ingredients in a slow cooker or pressure cooker. I usually use a slow cooker to make this but it really requires 12-18 hours of cooking, so this time I used my Instant Pot to cook slowly for 8 hours and then 2 hours of pressure cooking.

The result is the most tender pork you will ever eat! The meat will literally fall off the bone and with just a few stirs with a fork, you have pulled pork to feed your family and friends. This is such an easy dish for a party! No party? Just freeze the leftovers.
